Perched along the Snake River Canyon, just three miles upstream from Lower Granite Dam, Wawawai County Park offers 49 acres of year-round recreation and camping. The park is a popular spot for picnics, family gatherings, and camping. Visitors can explore a half-mile interpretive loop trail that climbs into the hills or relax at the shaded picnic shelters along the bay. Smaller vessels can be carried a short distance and launch from the bay to access the river for fishing and water sports.
 
 Amenities (available for reservation; otherwise first-come, first-served)

• One large group shelter with a large barbecue grill and electrical outlet (capacity: 200)
• Seven small shelters, each with a picnic table and barbecue grill (capacity: 8)

Campground (first-come, first-served only)

• 9 sites, accommodating larger vehicles and campers, some are pull-through
