Parks & Recreation

Purpose

The Whitman County Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing access to safe, well-maintained, and welcoming public lands.

We are committed to preserving Whitman County’s heritage by nurturing its landscapes as welcoming spaces where all can explore, connect, and be inspired by the beauty of our public lands. Through thoughtful stewardship and diverse recreation, we aim to create experiences that foster adventure, strengthen community, and ignite a lasting love for the outdoors, enriching the lives of our residents and visitors for generations to come.

We are pleased to invite you to help us plan the future of your parks! We welcome your feedback and suggestions on parks, trails, open spaces, and more!
